Betaine anhydrous exists either as white crystals or a crystalline powder. It is very hygroscopic, so anti-caking agent is needed in the manufacturing process. As a new fine chemical, betaine anhydrous is widely used in fields of food, medicine, household chemicals, printing and dyeing, chemical industry and so on.
